The bacon-wrapped scallops sound delicious. Been a long time since I had those.

DIY Gaming Tables and Accessories
* Turn regular tables into casino tables with felt layouts for black jack, poker, roulette, and craps.
* Purchase accessories for your casino games such as cards and a card shoe, a roulette wheel, craps dice and stick, and recommendations from casino party supply websites.
* Throw in one of those games that people want to play in the real casinos but may be intimidated by such as Baccarat or Pai Gow.
* Get fun thematic casino chips for the party. Personalize large chip cups with a label so guests can carry their loot from one table to another.
* Have a casino games book on hand so none of the rules are left up to chance!

You can't have a Vegas party without cocktails. The alcohol is optional depending on your guests. The food should also be bite-sized, finger food or appetizer-like so guests can keep gambling without balancing a full plate. I found the BEST ideas for a Vegas/Poker party in an old magazine. Think Rat Pack! Sammy D. Jr.-sized "sammies" (sandwiches), Frankie's Chicken Cigars (chicken BBQ in phyllo or puff pastry dough), Seafood Dean Marinis (seafood salad in martini glasses). Note: these three came from Rachel Ray. Let's not forget the KING of Vegas... ELVIS! He brings BBQ Ribs (Memphis/Graceland) or how about his favorite sandwich; grilled peanutbutter and banana. (It's actually quite good for breakfast.)

Welcome to the community, anners8582!
Well, you could give them an all-you-can-eat steak buffet for $7.95. lol
Really, I think it depends on what their interests are and where they're going in Vegas. Are they going to gamble? Check out shows? All of the above? What hotel are they staying in?
Say they're going to see Cirque du Soliel shows and are staying at Luxor. You could have an egyptian or circus theme, with foods to match.

How formal are you going? How many people? For more of an informal "fun" dinner you could get red and black plates, napkins and glasses, use some poker chips and dice spread around the table for some decorations, playing cards for place holders and get some of those paper wrappers used for bundling bills together (most banks would give you a few) and use them to wrap around the napkins. As far as food, steak is the first thing that pops to mind, but I'd say you are pretty open there b/c Vegas is known for all types of food.

So I thought for a great idea for my parent's visiting Vegas I would throw them a little dinner party (Vegas Theme to get them in the spirits). But I am completely stumped on what food i should prepare. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!
