Here is a recipe my husband and I love. This recipe is for 2 to 4 people and if u need to feed more u can double the recipe.

Sloppy Chicken

2 canned chicken or about 2 or 3 cups of shredded chicken (if u like a lot of chicken u can put in more)
1 can of chicken broth
1 can of cream of chicken
1 can of cream of potato (keeps salt to the minimum)
1 can of cream of whatever (for example cream of celery, broccoli, potato or broccoli and cheese)
1 sleeve of buttered crackers (i used ritz) crushed

put all the ingredients except half of the crackers and then mix it together in the crock pot and put it on low for 4 to 6 hours.
when finished top with the rest of the crackers. then serve.

I made this tonight and I put it on about 1ish and it was ready . about 5ish.
So it don't take long to cook. A secret about the crock pots for easy clean up use crock pot liners that you can buy in the store.

SHREDDED HOT BEEF SANDWICHES

1 - 4-6# top round roast
2 cans Campbell's condensed beef broth, undiluted
1 can (12 oz) beer, any kind EXCEPT dark
1 envelope dry Lipton onion soup mix
1 t. finely minced garlic
1 t. ground thyme
Fresh hard rolls
Horseradish (optional)

Spray slow cooker with nonstick spray. Place whole roast in bottom. Sprinkle with dry onion soup mix. Pour condensed soup and beer on top. Add garlic and thyme. Cook on low for 8 - 10 hours, til meat falls apart. Remove meat from slow cooker; shred, discarding any fat or gristle. Replace in slow cooker with juices. Serve on hard rolls with horseradish or condiments of your choice. You can freeze the leftovers, but this makes nice sandwiches that can be microwaved at work or home.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches
• 3 cups water
• 3 teaspoon of beef bullion granules or 3 cubes
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1 teaspoon dried basil
• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 teaspoon dried parsley
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 bay leaf
• 2 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian-style salad dressing mix
• 1 (3 - 3 3/4 pound) chuck roast, shoulder arm roast, or rump roast
• I used a shoulder arm roast as it’s very lean with no fat. Takes a little longer to cook.
DIRECTIONS
1. Combine salt, ground black pepper, oregano, basil, onion powder,
parsley, garlic powder, bay leaf, and salad dressing mix in a bowl.
2. Bring water to a boil and add beef bullion and stir until dissolved and add the rest of seasonings and stir to mix and remove from heat.
3. Place roast in slow cooker, and pour salad dressing mixture over the meat.
4. Cover, and cook on Low for 12 to 14 hours, or on High for 4 to 5 hours. When done, remove bay leaf, and shred meat with 2 forks.
5. Add back to slow cooker and cook for ½ hour so it can soak in the juices.
I served on toasted hoagie rolls with a bunch of optional toppings....sautéed mushrooms, red onion, sliced pepperoncini and sliced roasted red peppers. Then I ran the sandwiches under the broiler to melt the extra sharp provolone cheese.
I used the pepperoncini and roasted red peppers on ours with the 2 slices of smoky provolone cheese and we have had them several times now. Oh are they ever good and delicious.
This makes about 8 sandwiches depending upon amount of meat per sand.
Once you try these you will make again and again.

Smothered Pork Chops & Potatoes
8 red potatoes, quartered
4-5 boneless pork chops (approx. 1" thick)
Salt, pepper and garlic powder
1 cup beef broth
1 cup water
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1/4 cup flour

Line bottom of slow cooker with potatoes, then top with pork chops. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir together broth, water & soup mix, pour over pork chops - Cook on low 5 hours.

Remove pork chops & potatoes - then turn up to High - take a few tablespoons of broth and mix together with flour. Then add mixture to slow cooker and continue to cook for 15-30 min, to thicken gravy.

Sausage, Pepper & Onion Pasta
1 onion, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
1 pkg. (5-6 links) sausage (I use mild & remove casings)
1 jar (24 oz) sausage flavored tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
Salt, pepper & garlic powder
1 lb. cooked pasta

In the slow cooker, place the onion & pepper with sausage on top.

Stir together tomato sauce & water and pour over sausage. Sprinkle with salt, pepper & garlic powder.

Cook on low 7-8 hours OR high 4-5 hours. Slice up each sausage, and with the sauce, serve over cooked pasta.

Chicken & Rice Bowls
4-5 chicken breasts
1 lrg jar (26 oz) salsa
1 can (15 oz. or 2 cups from carton) chicken broth
1 can (15 oz. or 2 cups from frozen bag) corn
Cooked rice
Shredded cheese (I used a Mexican blend)
Sour Cream

Put all ingredients in slow cooker EXCEPT for rice, cheese & sour cream.

Cook on low 6-8 hours.

Shred chicken and serve over rice, with sprinkle of cheese, some of the salsa/broth/corn mixture and a dollop of sour cream.

I could go on and on..I love using my slow cooker!! :-p

I may have posted this before but I can't remember so I going to post it again my favorite slow cooker recipe is pork burritos. Slow cook a pork butte or shoulder for 4 hours drain then add 4 yellow cans of el pato. Continue to cook until meat falls apart. Serve in flour shells with your favorite taco fixings. We also serve it with rice a roni beef flavor to go in with the meat. So very good!

Hi,
I was wondering if you ever tried to cook the noodles in the crock pot? I have limited storage and cooking options (basically crock pot only) when I am at the race track. If I could dump the noodles in and cook for an hour or whatever that would be perfect for me.
Have you tried it?
Any suggestions?
Help!

I got a great recipe from Cooking Light. The basics follow:

Italian-Style Chicken
2 - 4 skinless chicken breasts
2 cloves garlic
1 can Italian stewed tomatoes
1can green beans, drained
1 can garbonzo beans, drained and rinsed
salt & pepper to taste

Brown chicken and place in bottom of crock-pot with 2 cloves garlic. Pour canned ingredients on top of chicken. Let simmer on low for 8-9 hours. Add salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Chicken Taco - 1 pound of chicken breast, 1 can diced tomatoes with green chili peppers, 1 pack of taco seasoning. You can use any type of meat. I put it on high for the first hour and low for the remainder. I do check this throughout the process to make sure it has enough liquid and doesn't burn. The amounts can easily be adjusted.

Honey Ham - Layer the bottom with brown sugar. Place the ham on in the pot. Spread brown sugar on the ham and cook on high for 1st hour and low for the next 3-4 hours. Add pineapples during the last hour if you like. I have a 7 qt. crock and I use a 5-pound ham. You can use bone in or boneless.

Cuban Pork - I use boneless pork loin and add mojo. I add a little water because the mojo is a bit tangy for me. I cook it on high for the first hour and low for the next 4-hours. You can also use Barbeque sauce instead of mojo for BBQ pulled pork sandwiches.

3 packs of gravy mix and all that flour? Sounds desperately salty!

Also 10 hours to cook it isn't that quick.

I got this from my GF's mom. Ingredients are a pork roast about 2-3 lbs., 12 oz. of beer (your choice), and a 8-12 oz jar of banana peppers. Place roast in crock pot and pour beer and peppers, including juice, over the top. Cover and cook for 8 hours on low. Remove roast from crock pot and shred with forks. Include some of the peppers as you shred it according to your taste. Serve on buns with BBQ sauce. I've tried it with a beef roast and a fresh beef brisket. The pork is our favorite.

Throw in crumbled cooked bacon at the end right before serving. Yummy.
