Mis broth, teriyaki sauce, garlic, marmalade, green onions,&cornstarch in6 quart slow cooker. Add chicen & turn to coat. Cover & cook on low 8 to 9 hrs . Serve with rice. I plan to make stir fry with the leftovers. Hope you enjoy this.

Try using beef broth or chicken broth instead of water for added flavor. After I cook my pork roast until it is falling a part. I remove the pork roast and shred it with my fingers, put it back in the crock pot with my favorite bbq sauce(sweet baby rays) or Kraft honey bbq and just heat it back up. serve it on hamburger buns for great bbq sandwiches.

This is just a variation on the bbq pork dish...We ususally cook ours with a can of crushed pineapples. once it's cooked, we add the BBQ and a little brown sugar.

Culeen-
For your recipe, do you put the hamburger in already browned or raw?

I found a recipe when I googled on line for stuffed pepers that was for a crockpot but I bet you could make stuff tomatoes if you wanted the peppers were really good. I also make a pineapple sauce and put chunks of chickend, green and red pepper in and that is really good. You can add any type of frozen veg you would like in the chicken. Or just use italian dressing and chicken and veggies with a little pasta or rice that cooked at the end.

On those hot and humid days, I love to use my crackpot. My kids' favorite is ground hamburger meat with elbows. I add some tomato sauce, a package of Ranch dressing and a bottle of BBQ sauce. When done, you can shred a little Velveeta over the plated dish. My kids just devour it! Oh....and hubby too.

I love to put a pork roast in the crockpot during the summer...even chicken breast...To both I normally just add my favorite BBQ sauce, spices, etc...for the pork I will add just enough water to cover it (leave it in the netting to cook). Let it cook all day and when you are ready get it out, it will just fall apart so it shreds perfect for a great sandwich...for the chicken you could serve just like BBQ Chicken or shred it too for a great summer sandwich!!! Throw in a salad, baked beans or corn on the cob! Great meal! Yum Yum...Enjoy!

If you type in crockpot recipes in the gray search bar and select message boards several threads that contain recipes will come up. There is one that is for a whole chicken that I'm going to try. Otherwise I'm like you and dont use my crockpot for much in the summer except for my calico beans that is.

I am wondering if anyone has any good recipes for the summer? A lot of the ones that I have are heavier meals and more ideal for the winter. I love to use my crockpot, so any suggestions you have would be great!
