They do make wonderful snacks, don't they! When I have a long day at the office, I pack a few to keep in my desk drawer. I can pop them out at any time and enjoy. Also, I put a few in my purse in a ziplock bag to take to the mall on a hectic shopping day. Crab sticks are much better for you than that junky old mall food!

I only like crabs when they are soft shelled and fried. Other than that, the fake crab sticks are wonderful for salads and snacking. I hear they can be breaded and deep fried, but I have never done that.

I LOVE carbs! I could make a meal out of mashed potatoes and gravy with bread and butter then have macaroni and cheese for desert along with more bread and butter.
However, my husband has diabetes and watching carbs is necessary. He also can have no added salt and must avoid any high-sodium foods. So, needless to say, I only use recipes as ideas. It does get frustrating when reading recipes. It's hard to find any that don't use use cheese and/or condensed soup (high sodium) or too many carbs - not only from Kraft but any recipie book or internet site.
They would never recognize their recipes I have in my recipe box.

Well, ok..maybe there is a box of cookies somewhere, but I personally never touch the stuff..

Wow! I ask for one little thing and start a huge debate! It seems we are hearing from everyone but Kraft! To jen and erin, thank you for your wisdom and support of this hugely misunderstood topic. To all of those who posted about it being a diet, going to South Beach, etc., if you don't know what a low-carb lifestyle is about, keep your opinions, and your posts, to yourself. And check your motivations for your postings...hmmmm. A low-carb lifestyle means lots of FRESH fruit and veggies, chicken, fish and some red meat. It also means whole wheat products that incorporate more good carbs and fiber in to the diet. The keyword here is fresh... Kraft incorporates lots of processing in the foods they sell and advertise. And they advertise their products with every recipe they send us. Hello! It's marketing, and I am not blaming them. If you don't like it, change the channel. But I do like it...some of there recipes are great...my kids love 'em. I just think they would expand their market and their reach if they recognized there are people out there who wish to eat more fresh foods, more whole foods, who wish to stay healthy and active and looking good as they age. Include those suggestions with every recipe they send out...that's called marketing too!

jen3314~ Thank you for the breath of fresh air.
I have been on this site for over a year and don't post much. It is good to know how others eat and make meals. I have learned so much here at Kraft.com and would and do encourage others to the site. I just hope we can all keep an open mind on topics. The post that has received the most views is "Losing Weight" over 10,000 views, to me this speaks mountains. The more info we all have the better we can all be. Thank you Kraft! And jen3314 thank you.

This guy cracks me up when ever i read his posts. What a crock. if he raised his nose up any further, he would break his neck!! lol!!! I agree with suz and erin.#1 they are NOT complaining at all. #2 all they are doing is simply ASKING for suggestions for lower carb options. what is so wrong with that. the people on these boards come from all walks of life and to be dicsriminated against is pretty sad. i personally have to have my carbs . being a chef and owning a restaurant, its kind of hard not too!! and it is going to my belly a bit. oh well. maybe i shold look into lower carb options. to suz and erin, my only advise to you is to google it. maybe eventually, the wizards in the kraft kitchen will have some options for you... good luck!!

It's okay, some people have to "diet" their whole lives. It's nothing to be ashamed of!!!

mandi lou~ I am not on a diet! It is a way of life. I buy many SB products all the time, but you have to pay to be a member of the South Beach site, I have the books for quick ref. The site is more for losing weight. What I do not understand is why some of you feel the need to push "healthy eaters" away. (I made choc chip cookies last night, with two sticks of butter!! can I be in the club?) Suzy is looking for options to change a recipe(s), I just agreed it would be nice. I think it is sad that you are trying to push people off the boards just because you may not see things in the same light. Happy cooking

Believe it or not but Kraft has a offers many South Beach food items. There is even a direct link to South Beach from this website. If you click on the "Healthy Living" link at the top of this website it will take you to it and many others. Here, I will save you the trouble of trying to find it and just post the link:
http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/HealthyLiving/
Hope this helps. Good luck with your diet.
