Try some on this.
One-Dish Italian Fish
Prep Time: 5 min Total Time: 17 min Makes: 4 servings
What You Need
2 cups instant white rice, uncooked 1/2 cup water 1 lb. white fish fillets (halibut, cod or tilapia) 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained 1/4 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese Make It MIX rice and water in 1-1/2 qt. microwaveable casserole. Place fish in single layer over rice; top with tomatoes and dressing. Cover.
MICROWAVE on HIGH 10 min.; top with cheese.
MICROWAVE, uncovered, 2 min. or until fish flakes easily with fork and rice is tender.

By all means, try the reduction with brown sugar to see what happens, even over kraft mac n cheese. It's good.

I was taught balsamic vinegar reduction from a friend who is a chef in a pretty decent restaurant. When he, now I, reduce my vinegar, I don't add anything to it and the vinegar becomes much sweeter and syrupy even without the brown sugar. What my friend told me was that this is a way to take inexpensive balsamic vinegar and make it taste more like the good stuff.
Next time, I think I'll try the reduction with brown sugar to see what happens.

I reduce my balsamic vinegar to thicken it with brown sugar, like this, I got the tip from a 5 star chief, he uses it, and the ones eating his food can'r figure out what is that their tasting, it's just good, they think, and don't know how to make it at home the way he does. It's simple hey?.

Sounds good, Chuck. I reduce my balsamic vinegar to thicken it, but I've never added brown sugar. Your reduction sounds especially good.

Balsamic Drizzle
Make a big batch and keep it in the fridge for anytime you want to use it.
Ingredients
1 cup balsamic vinegar 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Yields: 8 servings
Preparation
Combine vinegar and sugar in a small pot over medium-high heat and bring up to a bubble. Reduce the heat to medium and cook the liquids until they've reduced by about half and are thick and syrupy, about 10 minutes.
