Little girls love their Daddies. Even if they are very close with their moms, there always seems to be a special bond between father and daughter that's so awesome.
And with a little girl around the house, you can pass on your love of gadgets to her! For boys, I think love of gadgets just comes naturally lol

Thanks! And you got it correct- I'm pretty sure my husband's hoping for equal billing with this one!

St. B, that's so great about the little girl! You're going to have so much fun with her! And I bet Daddy's excited. Now he can have a Daddy's little girl since you've already cornered the market on Mamma's baby boys.

Indeed I do! All in all the pregnancy is going well. I've had a few complications- but luckily they've all been with ME and not the baby (whose doing extremely well!). We've since found out it's a girl- which makes my husband extremely excited (and me a bit nervous... I have the mothering a boy thing down- but girls are a whole new ball game!!) I've been very tired between the pregnancy complications, work and continuing to renovate the house (which is why I haven't been stopping in as much), but I have less than 3 months to go now, so the end is definitely in site! (Unfortunaley, I am acutely aware that the 3 months AFTER she's born will be even more exhausting the the 3 months prior- but I'm still trying to convince myself otherwise!) Thanks for asking- and you're right... It's not likely to have a post about kitchen gadgets on here for long without me poking my head in... who knows what I could be missing out on!

We found one she didn't have!
How is the pregnancy going? Did you ever find out what you were expecting?
Yes, odd thread, but I'm betting you check back since you like gadgets. =D

Actually, no! That's the sort of thing that they trained us to do in our heads at school. I actually didn't even know that they made such a thing. It is something that some of my clients might be interested in, though.

I don't have a lot of gadgets anymore either. I recently went on a kitchen cleaning spree and got rid of some of the ones I don't use or don't use very much. I like gadgets a lot, though, so it's only a matter of time before my cabinets fill up again lol

I have lots and lots of cabinet and drawer space. It's not all used up, maybe because I don't think I have lots of gadgets. I guess the only things I have that can be considered gadgets are: lemon zester, 2 sizes of hand grinders, one for meat the other for etc., and an old, heavy duty rotary egg beater. I also have a round grater (my oma's) and a box grater and an apple peeler. Otherwise my knives or my hands do most everything.

I don't understand why anyone would need this.
Scaling recipes involves simple division and multiplication at basically a third grade level.
Most people can do that in their heads. At any rate, a cheap $5 calculator will do the same thing as those that are advietised for more than 5 times the price.

I love my Slap Chop! It really is a good thing. I use it to chop all kinds of things without having to clean much.
