Grilled cheese sandwiches were the first thing I taught my son to cook. Even though he is all grown up now, every time I have a grilled cheese sandwich it gives me the feeling of nostaglia and love -- wonderful warm memories of a little blonde, blue eyed boy cooking for the first time!

Isn't pre cooked bacon raw? As in before something is cooked it's pre cooked? Ewwww

We love it with tomato slices and pre-cooked bacon.

Instead of butter on the bread, I use Kraft Mayonnaise on the bread. I also slice tomatoes and place on the cheese and grill slowly until the tomatoes warm a bit and the cheese melts. Amazing flavor!

Instead of spreading the bread with butter, we like to use Ranch or Blue Cheese dressing. Adding fresh mushrooms or tomatoes is also a treat.

I love making grilled cheese for my boys on cool, rainy days. I always use two slices to make sure all the bread is covered. We use an assortment of condiments to dunk the sandwiches in. My boys like ranch or honey mustard dressing. I prefer mustard or a good soup. Pickles of any kind are a big plus on the side for my 5 year old.

When I was 12 years old, my parents divorced and my brother and I didn't get many well balanced meals as my mother work part time. Some nights when Mom couldn't afford meat for us, she would cook up the "invisible cheeseburger" for us and we would put lettuce, tomato, onions, mayonnaise and mustard and two slizes of cheese between two slices of bread which mom gently cooked in butter. Just as the cheese melted and got gooie and the crust was a golden brown on each side of the sandwich, she would slice the sandwiches and put chips between the two sandwich halves. With a big glass of cold milk, nothing tasted better, in fact, this memory has made me decide to fix my invisible cheeseburger right now!

Enjoying a grilled cheese sandwich goes back to when I was a little girl. It was my favorite meal. Now my girls and I enjoy them together. I always use 2 slices of cheese and cook them on the stove slowly. It's our favorite meal and it's "girl" time. It lets my girls know they are special.

WHEN I MAKE MY GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES I USE TWO SLICES OF 100% WHOLE WHEAT BREAD AND I SPREAD SMART BALANCE BUTTER WITH FLAX SEED OIL ON THEM. I MAKE THEM GOLDEN BROWN. THEN I WARM UP A BOWL OF SPAGETTIO'S THEN WHILE I AM EATING I DIP THE SANDWICH INTO THE SPAGETTIO'S AND I GET A NICE TASTE OF TOMATO SAUCE AND CHEESE TOGETHER. MMMMM.....I THINK I WILL HAVE THAT TODAY!!!

My daughter and I enjoy our grilled cheese for breakfast together. We love it in the mornings when it's cold with extra cheese between the bread. It's a wonderfully tasty treat I am able to share with my two year old what I loved from my childhood.

I like to have sliced sweet pickles between two slices of cheese in my grilled cheese.
